Picking Out Your Share We want to make it as easy as possible for you and cater to your eating habits. Each week we will specify a one item that you must take, but you will get to choose the rest of your share from what is on our farmer’s market table. For more info on what to expect in your shares visit our contents page here. Discount When members purchase a share, their prepayment makes it easier for the us to pay for supplies in the spring. Because of the commitment made, members enjoy a discount off market prices (in our case, it is about 15%). Missed Shares We realize that everyone needs a break. Let us know ahead of time that you will be missing a share and you can pick up a double share the following week. Splitting Shares Many members ask if they can split a share with a friend. We definitely encourage this, we just ask that you take care of the splitting yourselves and don’t involve us with the details. When you sign up make sure to include your friend(s) as additional members so they will receive all the emails and the farm newsletter. Bulk Vegetables During the season we usually have several times that we have surplus vegetables: beans, tomatoes, broccoli, beets, and carrots. We usually give the CSA first choice on buying this surplus for freezing or canning. We’ll put this information in the newsletter as produce becomes available (usually August and September). Assumption of Risk By joining the CSA you indicate that you realize that flood, drought, hail, injury, act of God, or any other natural disaster may limit the crops. Therefore, we do not offer refunds on CSA shares. Remember-you are buying a part of the summer’s harvest, whatever that may be. Contents.htmlContact.htmlshapeimage_1_link_0shapeimage_1_link_1
